Obituary

Ingrid Lina Bruinsma, 83, of Wake Forest died peacefully at her home on November 3, 2022. She was born in Regensburg, Germany to the late Max Eichenseer and Theresa Bauml Eichenseer.

Ingrid was educated in Germany, became a US citizen in Phoenix Arizona in 1963, and continued her education in the United States. She was employed by several banks on Long Island, NY as a proofreader and loved to travel. She had a unique sense of humor, was always looking for new places to go, and quickly acquired new friends through her spunky personality and a huge heart. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and gardening, and loved to spend time with her family.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 o’clock, Wednesday morning, November 9, 2022, at Saint Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Wake Forest, North Carolina. A private burial was held at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Bruinsma is survived by her husband of 63 years, Russell M. “Russ” Bruinsma; daughter, Kristel Bruinsma of Youngsville; grandson, Christopher Heffernan of Youngsville; extended family and friends all over the world.
