Richard Charles Roquemore, 83, of Raleigh, passed away Wednesday evening, September 28, 2022 at the William M. Dunlap Center for Caring. He was born in Forsyth, Georgia to the late William Charles Roquemore and Elizabeth Snow Roquemore.
Charles, “Charlie”, was quick-witted and with a strong spirit. He loved gardening and spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and “my my my” to his two granddaughters. Most days he could be found puttering around the yard or garden. He enjoyed being at home and attempting almost any house project. However, Friday nights were cherished nights out with good friends! And yet he was always the first to jump at the chance to help out with his granddaughters. He never missed an opportunity to be with them. They were the apple of his eye. Thank you for all you gave to your family, friends, and community. You will be greatly missed by all!
Mr. Roquemore is survived by his wife of 56 years, Carol Horner Roquemore; daughters, Laura Lynn Roquemore of Mt. Dora, FL and Janik Miklosko & husband James of Raleigh, NC; granddaughters, Reese Ann Miklosko and Emery Parker Miklosko both of Raleigh; sisters, Carolyn Crocker & husband Frank of Atlanta, GA, Edith Harrison & husband Billy of Forsyth, GA and Ann Melton & husband Bobby of Forsyth, GA; brother, William Roquemore of Forsyth, GA; many nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his sister, Edna Young.
